life at life Student Activities A student activity program is viewed as an important part of the total educational program. LCA students are provided with opportunities to interact socially, to form lasting friendships, to develop leadership, and to learn the value of assuming responsibility and following through to completion. Student activities, like all other programs, are governed by the overall philosophy of our school. Thus, the result of everything we do should honor our Lord Jesus Christ. This page will not attempt to identify every activity available at the school since these may change from year to year.
Elementary School
participates in grade level and class picnics; class
parties for Thanksgiving,
Middle School participates in various activities, both social and mission oriented. Missions might include visiting nursing homes, orphanages, sharing and helping a needy family. Socials might include class lock-ins, theme parties, roller-skating, putt-putt golf, and swimming parties.
Life Christian Academy was founded in 1977 under the
vision of Pastor J. Dwight Burchett with an enrollment
of 50 in Preschool through Grade 6. In 1985, the school
and church moved to its present location at 6801 S.
Anderson Road. As a result, the school has grown to
over 250 students (ranging from 6 months to 8th
grade), 32 classrooms, and 77,000 square feet of
facility usage with a large gymnasium and a reputation
for excellent scholarship and athletic achievements
within true Christian values.
