10th Graders Give Back to Their Community

One of Life Christian Academy's expected student outcomes is to train students to understand, value, and engage in appropriate social and civic activities. Each junior high and high school class must participate in at least one community service project in an effort to help students learn to think beyond themselves to others.

The sophomore class recently purchased flowers, vases, ribbons, etc.. and put together gifts of flowers for residents of Midwest Manor Health Care Services. On November 29, the sophomores visited with the residents and presented flowers to them.

The students enjoyed the opportunity and said they welcome the opportunity to visit with the residents again.

What’s the purpose behind all of this?  Our goal is to train students to give—expecting nothing in return.  After all, isn’t that what  servanthood is all about?

…..to this end, the school (LCA) purposes to train students to be spiritually strong, academically sound, and physically disciplined in order to affect our world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
